Abstract

The production of honey was a traditional trade complementary to many rural societies. Actually, has seen a rebound of its presence in the Navarrese landscape through modern mobile hives. Nevertheless, only some remnants of its fixed beehives are preserved in the Royal Bardenas (Navarre). Likewise, the research hasn't found any location of the isolated vessel model. Considering the fieldwork, oral sources and historical files, this article collects information about a preindustrial craft yet passed away in this territory. The data analysis attempts to reconstruct the possible manufacturing system followed by local beekeeping and its place in the ethnographic and old architectural ensemble of this region.
