Abstract

This study explores the implementation and reception of the Personalized Inverted Classroom (PIC) in teaching basic programming for 2 energy and ecotechnology degrees. PIC combines the structure of the Inverted Classroom with a personalized approach, transforming the way students interact with content by allowing them to dive in early and advance at their own pace. The methodology is based on the delivery of multimedia content, hands-on classroom exercises with lecturer guidance and valuable flexibility in time management. The results highlight very positive aspects of the implementation of PIC in the teaching of programming, showing a remarkable commitment and personalized progress on the part of the students. The methodology also demonstrates an attractiveness for students who would recommend the PIC methodology to other peers, high frequency in the visualization of audiovisual material and motivation. In addition, the data suggest that the digital quiz platforms are perceived as effective in consolidating knowledge, according to the positive perception of the students.
