Resumen
The purpose of this research is to investigate the difference between self-perception and knowledge of the Teacher’s Digital Competence (TDC) of the students of the Master's Degree in Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching at Mondragon Unibertsitatea. Digital competence is defined as one of the seven essential competences of the citizen (European Commission, 2007). Therefore, in order to develop the digital competence of students, it is essential that teachers develop the TDC (Redecke & Punie, 2017). This study compares the difference between the self-perception and the knowledge of the TDC of pre-service teachers. The results show that the difference is remarkable. In conclusion TDC training is necessary.
