Résumé

The study of cyber-physical systems within the framework of the Industrial Computer Science subject is not particularly appealing to students of the computer engineering degree. This aspect is reflected in the satisfaction surveys that students fill out each year. Other subjects such as web programming, artificial intelligence or security are more attractive a priori for students. With the aim of improving student motivation and involvement, the simulation tool MATLAB and Simulink has been incorporated in academic years 19- 20 and 20-21 to develop part of the skills. The positive results obtained indicate that this is the way forward. Furthermore, it is expected that complementing the simulation tool with mockups (based on Arduino hardware) that allow students to experience the physical part, will result in a more complete and attractive learning experience for students. The article presents two relevant contributions for the community. Firstly, it presents the methodology followed to establish a collaboration framework between the university and leading companies in the cyber-physical systems sector. Secondly, it presents the methodology used to incorporate new technologies, align them with learning objectives and adapt evaluation criteria, in order to improve the learning experience of students.
