Resumen alternativo:40% of the world's main cooperatives belong to the financial and insurance sectors. Because of the last economic crisis, the financial sector in general has led actions of corporate social responsibility - CSR. However, cooperatives have not only been more stable, but CSR is also part of their genuine and essential values and principles. However, even cooperatives do not know to what extent CSR fits the needs and expectations of its stakeholders. Therefore, this study aims to examine a conceptual model focused on the importance of reputation, credibility and customer perceptions. A field study was carried out with a sample of 2223 cases of associated clients of one of the main Cooperatives of the financial sector in Costa Rica, a Central American country where said cooperatives are the ones with the highest representation.
