The goal of this study is to adapt and validate the Spanish version of the Students' Life Satisfaction Scale (SLSS; Huebner, 1991a), using a sample of 339 secondary school students from the Alto Deba region (Gipuzkoa). For this purpose, we carried out a principal components analysis, selected scale items, and calculated descriptive data. Finally, analysis were undertaken to measure the scales' internal and temporal reliability, and its construct (convergent) and concurrent validity. The results show the instrument's reliability and its construct, convergent and concurrent validity, which provide us with a brief and precise instrument to assess adolescents' overall life satisfaction.

La validez de constructo (convergente) del SLSS se analiza a través del estudio de las correlaciones (r de Pearson) que muestre el instrumento con medidas de satisfacción vital global (SASS) y de felicidad (FHM). Por otro lado, para com-probar si la satisfacción vital global y el autoconcepto son constructos separables, se llevará a cabo un ACP de los ítems del SLSS y del CAG.
