Resumen
The work presented below is based on two investigations carried out in the Basque Autonomous Community. They are focused on the learning process and the acquisition of second languages in contact, specifically the Basque language, in adult and child education, respectively. Our intention is to analyze the main variables, motivational as well as behavioural, that influence the choice of the D Education Model (totally in Basque). Selecting as our target variables the attitude towards and the use of the Basque language, it is found that the motivational orientations most closely related to the choice of the D Education Model are those related to the integration and participation in Basque culture and society.
