Medida, caracterización y emulación de canales MIMO banda ancha = Measurement, characterization and emulation of wideband MIMO channels

Abstract

In this work, several techniques for measuring and emulating multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels are proposed, using a conventional MIMO testbed. To that end, the latter has been provide with a web interface based on webservices, which allow making the most of its capabilities in a simpler and more efficient way. The advantages of having a cheap and straightforward manner for measuring an emulating the MIMO channel are numerous, since they allow extracting information about real propagation channels. The overall result on an interesting tool for small research centers and universities. It is important to point out that the fact or utilizing the testbed for measuring and emulating the MIMO channel leads to the resulting performance limitations when compared with dedicated equipment.
