Doctor by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona with the thesis Environmental optimization of the public space of cities Action on urban pavements and elements to support sustainable mobility 2014. Supervised by Dr. Xavier Gabarrell Durany, Dr. Joan Rieradevall, Dr. Alejandro Josa García-Tornel.

Environmental Engineer and Master in Cleaner Production and Environmental Management from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Master in Environmental Studies (specialisation in Industrial Ecology), PhD in Environmental Science and Technologies from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB), and postdoctoral researcher in Circular Economy from the University of Manchester (UoM) in the United Kingdom. I was a visiting researcher at the Danish Centre for Environmental Assessment (DCEA) (Aalborg, Denmark). I also worked at Tecnalia Research and Innovation (Energy and Environment Division) and in environmental consulting (Inguru Ingeniería y Gestión Ambiental). Currently, I am Ikerbasque Research Fellow and Head of the Research Group of Circular Economy and Industrial Sustainability (CEIS) at the Faculty of Engineering in Mondragon University. I am also a member of the International Society for Circular Economy (IS4CE), International Society for Industrial Ecology (ISIE), Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle (FSLCI), CTN-UNE 323 Circular Economy Committee, and Future Earth (Circular Economy and the Clean Energy Transition).
